Freedom

To those who pee
all over the toilet seat.

This must be the freedom
they speak of.

The freedom to be inconsiderate.
The freedom for self-preservation.
The freedom to avoid accountability.

To avoid responsibility.
To feign nobility.
To reign with conceited self-worth.

The trio who take up a sidewalk.
The smoker who leaves a cloud behind.
The racist hooligans that blame inebriation.

It’s their body their choice.
Yet, they forget they’re not above the whole.
Their freedom is forfeit to the whole.

Manners separate us from animals.
Consideration for others is humanity.
Forgetting all that.

That’s an asshole.
Like the one that peed,
all over my toilet seat.
